First- i haven't been on here for 3 years. I joined a long time ago, forgot about it and a couple months ago logged back in. I am interested in a lot of things...Education, research, the medical field, snowboarding, reading, meeting new people, having a stimulating conversation or debate, my family, trying new food, movies,cooking, theology, scootin, golfing, and sooo much more, basically anything new intrigues me. So that doesn't necessarily sound very happy, but I'm usually slightly more chipper than that on any given day. As I said I'm a college grad, College of Visual Arts in St. Paul, and I used to spend most of my time working. Then I got laid off. When I'm not working I can be found playing any of a wide variety of videogames on my PC, drawing for the comic book, making random digital collages, reading, writing or hanging out and having a beer. For local shows I have seen more of The Haves Have It than I can remember and with good reason as they rock my socks off. I also just went and saw the band Daybreak, of which I'm friends/acquaintances with the band members, for the first time and was blown away. So check them out I guess.

I love people, pictures, kittens, kids, art and music. My friends call me paparazzi because I take so many... luckily, the pictures usually turn out well so they secretly love it. :) The truth is, I love my friends so much that I love having the pictures to look back on.

I've also been told that sometimes I'm like a six year old. When we would play on the boat this summer, I would get so excited by the sun and the water and the people I was with, that I would practically burst with joy... apparently that was acting like a six year old. Lol especially when we would pull up on an island and I could explore and build sand castles and be silly and play catch :) I suppose that's fitting, since I also love to dance in the rain, blow bubbles, color and play with kids. lol

Humor is really important to me. I'm very affectionate with my friends. I like to get out of the house and do stuff. I wish gas was less expensive. I wish I was a morning person.. cuz I'm not. I play piano and I used to play for a restaurant. I am a super passionate person... which can be both good and bad. I love to sing.. but get really nervous for some reason. I run a movie theatre in the Twin Cities. As you might can tell, I am a very big fan of movies and music (mainly heavy metal, hard rock, classic rock, etc...). I own a lot of dvds/blu-ray, so usually a night off of work is spent at home, relaxing while watching a movie or listening to some good music. I am a fairly simple person, not requiring much to keep me happy or occupied. I love my job, am fearlessly loyal to my friends and family, and don't complain about the cold nearly as much as the natives (I'm from Georgia originally), haha. Hmm about me? Well I can try and define myself but there is a part in all of us that is undefinable that makes us who we are.. Probably a misquote, but in any case describes my outlook life.
Simply put I enjoy reading, playing video games, disc golf, politics, music, writing, hiking,swimming, camping, biking, internetting, sleeping and waxing intellectual on a variety of subjects. Also, I am a Christian who is unsure of the significance of the denomination thing at the moment, though my faith is important to me. I tend to lean left on the political spectrum for a variety of reasons. Otherwise I generally just want to enjoy life.

I will expand this simply to gain the percentage completion, because I am a nerd like that.

I can be kind of argumentative if I strongly believe in what I am saying. However, I also believe there are very few absolutes in life and subscribe to the idea that there is a bit of gray in every aspect of existence. This unfortunately leads one to perceive me to be a bit wishy-washy, but that is hardly the case.

Furthermore, I find myself to be a jack-of-all-trades, master of none. If you understand that, you are well on your way to solving the mystery of one such as I.

Regarding my inability to accept absolutes.
The world is full of gray areas, and the extremes are rarely right. One can see this in the political realm. The extremists on the right would have us leave the market to fix itself, despite the imperfections of man, and an inherent conflict in expecting everyone to be honest all of the time. While those on the lefts complete government regulation of everything ignores the conflicts inherent in reality and thinks all things can be solved by government intervention coupled with everyone's ability to get along in all things. The point of all this rambling is that there is no such thing as an absolute, as there is more often than not an exception to the rule.

Concerning my religious beliefs.

I am first and foremost a Christian. Not a Catholic, not a Lutheran, but a Christian. I feel that denominations exist to allow different personality types to worship God in the way that works best for them, thus I find it foolish to fight over which church is the true church.

Furthermore, the emphasis should be on Christ loving him, and not on silly church politics. The Bible is pretty clear in the assessment that the only way to heaven, is through faith. Yet, we constantly judge others for their perceived sins. I'm pretty sure it says not to judge others in the Bible a multitude of times. Yet, it is such judgments that cause so many to become disenfranchised with Christianity. As Christians we need to strive to avoid such pitfalls, as it is detrimental to our faith.

My thoughts on relationships.

When it comes to Love and relationships, I think there is only one way to effectively sustain a relationship in a positive way, and that is make sure unconditional Love is being shown at all times by both parties involved. Without that, one does not stand a chance.

Lastly, I know its a buzzword, but communication is key to keeping a relationship strong. Without communications everything falls apart.

There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said by hundreds of other guys on these sites. I can't say that I'm laid back. That term has been beaten to hell, it's hardly believable at this point. I could try and say that I'm a nice guy, but that's usually a cover for the guys who are sweet and cute at first, and then turn into careless jerks. The best I can offer is to say that I do my best to be a generally nice guy. I'll go to the moon and back just to see you smile, and ask for nothing in return. I often get confused for apathetic, when really, I'm just that laid back. It's not that I don't care, it's that I'll be happy to do just about anything, even if that's sitting around, doing nothing. Big thing is that I'm pretty shy. Always have been. If someone just acts naturally, doesn't stress, and keeps things kind of relaxed and chill, I can open up pretty quickly, and you'll never remember my being shy at all. Other than that, I don't know what to say. I've never been the best at describing myself, I'm always afraid of coming of as conceited or something.
